Door plaques, directional signs and wayfinding — the signage that gets a visitor to the right room without having to ask anyone.
A coherent family, not isolated pieces
Interior signage works as a system. One door plaque on its own is no problem; thirty plaques installed over three years by three different suppliers is — fonts that don't match, mounting heights that drift, finishes that don't age the same way.
We produce the whole set at once, on the same materials at the same mounting height: room identification, door numbers, corridor directionals, floor directories, desk plaques and regulatory signs.
What we build
Door plaques and room identification. Aluminum, acrylic or PVC, engraved or printed, with or without an interchangeable name holder for positions that change hands.
Directionals. Corridor panels and perpendicular flag signs, readable down the length of a hallway, with replaceable inserts for when a department moves.
Directories and floor wayfinding. Large lobby panels with individual tenant strips, designed to be changed without rebuilding the whole panel.
Evacuation plans. Framed or laminated floor plans, posted at stairwell accesses and by the elevators. Quebec's Code de sécurité, which adopts the National Fire Code, requires them in commercial, industrial and institutional buildings — and they have to be reissued every time the layout changes. A plan dating from construction isn't just non-compliant; it's dangerous on the day of a real evacuation.
Zone identification. Room numbers, warehouse, loading dock, mechanical room — durable and legible in a working environment.
Mounting and changes
Indoors we mostly use mounting adhesive on finished partitions, standoffs when the plaque should sit off the wall, and exposed fasteners in industrial settings where a plaque has to come down.
One thing is worth deciding up front: which elements are going to change? People's names change often, department names occasionally, room numbers almost never. We design the moving parts accordingly, so a single name change doesn't mean rebuilding a whole panel.
Frequently asked questions
Can you match our existing signage?
Yes, if we can see what's there. Send photos and, if you can, one existing plaque — copying it directly is far more reliable than working from a description, especially for pinning down an exact font and finish.
Do you make braille and accessibility-compliant plaques?
Not at the moment. Our interior signage covers identification, directionals and wayfinding. If your project requires compliant tactile signage, flag it early — that piece is best handed to a specialist supplier.
How often do evacuation plans need redoing?
Every time the layout changes — partitions moved, suites resplit, a new exit. The plan has to show the building as it is now, not as it was built. In practice most office buildings redo a portion after every floor reconfiguration. Send us the current floor plan and we'll produce the panels at the size and quantity you need.
Can we order just a few plaques, or does it have to be a whole building?
Either. Small top-up orders are common, usually to extend an existing set. When that's the case, send us one current plaque so we can match the material, font and finish exactly.
