What we print
Facade and window wraps, rigid panels, indoor and outdoor banners, floor decals, cabinet faces, site hoarding and event graphics. If it prints flat and then gets stuck, screwed or tensioned, it comes out of here.
Large format isn't a separate department for us: it's the same press that produces the faces on our illuminated signs and the stickers. That's why colours match across elements on the same project.
Substrate, ink, lamination
The substrate decides service life. Calendered vinyl is economical and fine on flat surfaces for two to three years; cast vinyl conforms to curves and lasts considerably longer. Coroplast is a rigid fluted panel, ideal for temporary display. ACM — aluminum composite — is the substrate for permanent panels.
Lamination isn't a decorative upsell. A laminate shields the ink from UV, scuffing and pressure washing; without it an outdoor print visibly fades within a season. We laminate anything going outside by default.
Files: what prevents surprises
We accept AI, EPS, PDF, SVG and high-resolution PNG. A vector file is always the best choice: it scales to any size without losing sharpness. For a photo or any raster image, what matters is the pixel count relative to the final printed size — a 1,000-pixel-wide image makes a crisp 10-inch sticker but will look soft on a 10-foot mural. Send what you have and we'll tell you straight away whether it holds up at the size you want.
Leave bleed on anything that gets trimmed, and keep important text away from folds, grommets and panel edges. If a file is a problem we say so before printing, not after — and you get a proof to approve either way.
Frequently asked questions
How long does an outdoor print last?
With cast vinyl and a UV laminate, five to seven years is routine under normal Quebec exposure. With unlaminated calendered vinyl on a south-facing wall, it can fade in the first year. The cost difference between the two is far smaller than the difference in lifespan.
Can you print on rigid panel, or only vinyl?
Both. We print on adhesive vinyl and apply it to ACM, coroplast or PVC panel, then contour-cut the panel on the CNC. It arrives finished and ready to mount.
What file resolution do you need?
Vector is always better — it scales without loss. For a raster image, aim for 100 to 150 dpi at actual printed size. Send what you have: we'll tell you whether it will hold up before production starts.
